Batman has been foiled...by DRM. [...]

I was given a copy of The Dark Knight for <del datetime="2008-12-29T18:00:15+00:00">Christmas</del> Saturnalia, and lo & behold, it’s so riddled with copy protection that it doesn’t play in any of the DVD players that I own. This includes 2 Sony DVD players, my Macbook, and both of the Pioneer DVD drivers in my desktop.

I looked online to see if there were any solutions for this. A quick google search reveals plenty of playback problems, but no real solutions, other than “Download a ripped copy, here’s a torrent.”

Frustrated, I got into a 20 minute argument with the manager of a Best Buy before he let me return it, even though it was opened.
