Welcome!
It would appear you've stumbled onto my About page, so I should probably tell you something about myself while you're here.
My name is Mike, I was born in Southern New Jersey. Laugh all you want, I won't be offended; I do however love New Jersey, especially South Jersey, with a passion that few people understand. I was born on the last day of Aries (that's called a Cusp, if you're into astrology).
I work as a developer, and I have a very strong interest in web design, web standards, and graphic design. I support Mozilla as much as I can, whether it be through extensions to Firebird, bug-filing, general evangelism, or by creating ports of IE-only Dynamic Drive scripts.
I prefer OS X and Linux over Windows, and I don't run Windows at home. Just something you should probably know.
I'm an avid drummer, not to mention a huge drum nerd. I've been playing for roughly 13 years at this point, with no sign of stopping. I can go on for hours about sticks, heads, cymbals, technique, etc.
I'm vegetarian, very politically motivated, and overall very concerned with current events. I try to eat well and exercise regularly (try being the key word there).
This is primarily a weblog with some additional content, such as recipes, photos, drum talk, etc. It can and will be personal. That said, I should almost definitely state that nothing on this weblog is related to, endorsed by, or affiliated with my employer. These are my thoughts and opinions, and mine alone.
If you need to get in touch with me, simply drop me a line at mike (at) mikepalumbo.com, and I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.
So, thanks for visiting, and I hope you get something useful out of whatever content is here!
