I was planning on writing a long piece today about the iPhone 4S, how it related to Jobs’s departure from the CEO role, what post-Jobs Apple would look like…but that all seems a bit irrelevant right now.
RIP Steve Jobs
Rest in peace, Steve. I may not have always agreed with your rationale or actions, but I know for a fact that without your dedication and vision, the entire world would be a different place. You brought innovation and joy to millions of people; the products that I use today, even products that compete with Apple’s, would not be nearly as good as they are without your influence. Thank you for everything you did, all of those you inspired, and the lives you touched.
My deepest condolences to all who knew and loved Steve, it is a devastating loss for the world.
